Notes About The Poem

Humanity

How thin, the veil that wraps us, tenderly, in life -

Unseen filaments of energy, cognition and mass,

Made enduring by the weave of a hand, divine,

And the employment of immaculate intention ...

Nonetheless, we rise and thrive as if immutable -

Immortality, a harlequin of hope for the faithful.

Time and constitution may crumble ahead of us,

Yet the human spirit perseveres... through LOVE.

I'm glad you liked it, Alexis, thank you so very much, my friend! :-) <3 (Hey - you're one of the few people here, beside me, that puts a "nose" on their emoji, lol! I even wrote a goofy poem about it - "Missing Muzzles" - we must be siblings from a previous life, lol!)

Wow, the passion for humanity is evident within your loving write my friend! You portray the human race as a hopeful species with a power to change...though we usually take the low road, we try to get higher (A general observation of humanity...taking the low road...not seen in many of my friends however)! I really loved reading your delightful poem this morning, so filled with awe that I am amazed by its splendor, an enthralling piece! Great Work!!

Thank you so very kindly, my good friend, I am so very pleased you liked my little Acrostic ... it is only the 4th one I've written, but I worked diligently on it, and wanted to make it of substance and import. As I said to Julie, I believe LOVE is the one part of humanity that transcends time and will outlast existence. Blessings, Buddy! :-)
