Humanity

We bleed the same blood, Can we share the same earth? We fight for peace and justice, But what’s it all worth? The prejudice and hate, Are because of humanity’s fears, To see innocents die by this, Brings me to tears. If history repeats itself, Then why aren’t we learning? For pacifism over war, And a peaceful land, I’m yearning. All of humanity needs to unite, To end all meaningless violence, We need to step up and speak our minds, We need to break the silence. We need to look at our surroundings, To open our eyes wide, Because our problems will never be solved, If we just run and hide. Society has to make a change, We all have to make a choice. We can sit back and do nothing, Or take action and voice. If you kill for the sake of religion, While killing your own men, No one would be left to pray, So how would you worship then? What higher being would give approval, To poverty, hunger or strife? What higher being would give approval, To the murdering of life? What makes you human? Not flesh, but soul. If humanity would realize this, Maybe we’d be whole. We share the same origin, We all breathe the same air. If we shared the thought of pacifism, Maybe every one would care.
