6. Fermat's Principle - Light takes the path that requires the least time when traveling from one point to another.
the thin shadow, trembling against the earth
the scent of a clinging leaf, crackling
like the last autumn wind – against the spirit
seeking hope in the melancholic drifting
so that I only see, just beyond the forest’s needs
relishing the breath of an unhurried moon
seeking her shelter in the stars who’re all strewn
like diamonds, floating on the everlasting
pelting out songs – enchanting the twilight
pressing out words that mean more when they’re heard
by the midnight cool, where light grasps the truth
remembering the summer and all its fun
remembering the caress of yesterday’s sun
remembering…
taking the path of least resistance
breath of a prayer – light beyond compare
the wonder of knowing He is always there
and, whatever I say – His grace will always save
this is the gift He gave…
as His light plays out its game
giving each believer a new name
so when we reach heaven, we’re not all the same
it is the sea of light, the insight that I claim
because He took the blame
I can lay down all my shame
IT IS HIS LOVE I SHALL EXCLAIM!!!
