Humanity
The world is shaded grey
all uniqueness to fade away
who is right or even wrong
and some just seem to hum along.
People consumed by the title race
what used to be just a friendly face
the divide is divided more
and haunts me down to the core.
Violence has become the new
because it is wrong to be just you
and long wars fought to end the strife
echo like a piercing knife.
If the world intends to bend
then what true battles did we ever win
knowing the world still full of hate
how tolerance can manipulate.
People have been giving choice
and with that raise their voice
but use this to their demise
to harm, hurt and criticize.
If we truly never mean to try
there really isn't reason why
for the better of humanity
in all of its insanity.
You say you're inclusive and correct
but then tend to reject
because you draw outside the line
if it benefits you, you're just fine.
That isn't how life works at all
but I guess you missed that call
you do not care who pays the price
only if you don't sacrifice.
But the world only sees decay
of happiness being stripped away
perhaps one day we'll see and learn
in the world, you so choose to burn.
