Human Too
Carolyn Devonshire-Poetess I never met
was similar to I for she also had regret…
Remorse maybe complexed and burdening to one
never brings no peace of mind and certainly no fun.
Before money there was trade and bartering in chase
no-one really knows who invented the replace,
Though many problems have occurred due to the creation-
homelessness, poverty, social deprivation.
To be compassionate, kind from goodness in our heart
we may share human feelings for others to be part,
To make known, to engage in hope of a solution
bringing all together so there is no exclusion.
For we’re people, we struggle for life can be hard
we empathise, sympathise and NO we won’t discard
Human beings- poor or sick, downtrodden often years
as we care so we will share overwhelmingly to tears.
* this poem I wrote after reading 'Regret' by Carolyn Devonshire.
