Human Predators
A submerged world of emeralds and pearls
coral, fish and snails, swarm in multicolor.
Do they choke in a plastic wrapped shore?
But why should I bother? Why should I care?
I need money for tomorrow
I need fun of long drives,
Climate Change?..Why should I fear?
From a rocky ocean floor, painted in crimson
my machines drill out oil, Oh! spilling riches.
Swelling ocean levels, splashing high waves
voiceless screams, does anyone care?
Earth is warmer by five more degrees,
So what? my city is smart in AC ivory towers.
As robots keep count and estimate cool sales
Does anyone care , dying rhinos and whales?
A shattered ecosystem, drown polar bears
engulfed in melting ice , helpless in despair.
Burning wild fires, really signals of distress?
Why should I bother? It's for others to care.
A poisonous cocktail of dirty air to breathe
carbon hangs a haze, it's an eclipse forever.
Smoggy catastrophe, I just avert my eyes
Let's think about it later, it's still not too late.
A world of free shades under green trees.
honey and flowers... butterflies and bees.
In our living apocalypse, a candour truth,
World is slowly dying , Does anybody care?
Human predators are huddled everywhere
We'll be bankrupt soon, ... Beware! Beware!
