Human Minds

In the quiet of the night, where shadows softly creep, Lies the tale of human minds, so easily they sleep. With whispers soft and voices loud, the seeds of thought are sown, And in the fertile fields of minds, the weeds of doubt are grown. Like reeds that bend with every breeze, so too do hearts and souls, They sway with every passing trend, and follow unseen goals. A word, a glance, a subtle nudge, can turn the tide of thought, And in the web of influence, their freedom’s often caught. In classrooms bright and churches grand, the doctrines are instilled, With fervent faith and fervent fear, the empty minds are filled. The shepherds lead, the flocks do follow, down paths both dark and light, And in the dance of power’s sway, they lose their inner sight. Yet in the dawn’s first gentle light, a spark of hope does gleam, For in the heart of every soul, there lies a hidden dream. To break the chains of blind belief, to seek the truth untold, And in the quest for knowledge pure, their spirits to unfold. So let the rhyme of influence be a cautionary tale, To guard the mind, to seek the truth, and let not reason fail. For in the strength of questioning, in thoughts both wild and free, Lies the path to wisdom’s door, and true autonomy.
