Human Emotions

Love is a mask, a shell if you will
a cover up of something sinister with skill.
Behind these feelings of pleasure and warmth
lye many,many more emotions to distort.
Easily done without understanding why,
this feeling of jealousy now consumes you
inside.
A very strong feeling of love and hate,
will make your entire body completely
shake.
A complex emotion that is tricky to defeat,
but if you remain nice and calm this
feeling will retreat.
Life exists to revolve around these passions,
without this emotion we humans reproduce
nothing.

Yoni Dvorkis February 8, 2009 at 9:46 PM Nice rhyme scheme. Vowel rhymes (why inside hate shake) allow more artistic freedom. In my mind hate is just a request for love. No one ever sees it that way because they think hate exists in it's own right, that it battles directly with love for dominion of the human being's emotional spectrum. I think by considering ourselves complex entities with such a variety of emotions on display we forget that we only show these two and only one of them is legitimate. But again, this is only my opinion.
