we are all
Human.
But,
what does that mean?
It means…
we are all
Beautiful.
yes,
in our own ways.
we are all
Different.
though,
not as different as we my hope.
we are all
Lovers.
both to
give and receive.
we are all
Fighters.
even if,
the only battle we ever engage,
is with ourselves.
we are all
Addicts.
with entirely too much
but, of course,
never enough.
we are all
Victims.
If,
at the very least,
by our own hand.
we are all
Human.
But,
what good does that do,
when being human
means being ugly too?
we are all
Human.
ready to Deceive.
quick to protect what we want
but,
almost never what we need.
we are all
Human.
jumping to Judge.
ready to hang others
with a noose we tied
for ourselves.
we are all
Human.
willing to Cheat.
if it puts us ahead
in a time of defeat.
we are all
Human.
undoubtedly Blind.
selfish because,
we possess only one set of eyes.
we are all
Human.
Have you figured out
what it means?
To be a good human, you must be less human it seems.
