He pulled me into An embrace that was real Like a light in the dark Filling up my broken heart His love hugged me With kindness and tenderness Whispers of serenity Discovered inside love That is alive and wise Love that abides on the inside He left me feeling sure That love had warmed my soul And I could always be certain God was working through the one Who touched my heart And opened up the door To grace that flows alive Like a gentle kiss that abides He is gone now But his love lingers here On the naked skin Where hope always wins And faith reminds you when Love is there – in a prayer You have been hugged by grace And seen God face to face
