Hug Me

Hugs, hugs, glorious hugs...
The happiness and joy they bring..
Just like a long lost fiend..
       You're greeted with such warmth...

       Hugs, hugs, glorious hugs..
       That nectar straight from you..
The sweetness of your scented bloom..
       Has me flowering into life...

       Hugs, hugs, glorious hugs..
When days are sad and grey...
When someone close has passed away..
We'll covet them with angels wings..

       Hugs, hugs, glorious hugs..
When my children run to me..
With outstretched arms and smiling faces..
I'm cradled in their innocent cuddles...

       Hugs, hugs, glorious hugs..
When leaving was the hardest thing..
A tear drop fell into my palm..
       And slipped between my fingers..

      Hugs, hugs, glorious hugs...
      They're such a perfect gift...
Nor Christmas present or birthday treat..
Can embrace just like a loving hug...
