Animals, like you and me, are totally dependent on plants. For the oxygen in the air we breathe is plant exhaust. Virtually all the oxygen on earth, now and in the past was expired by plants, via their magical process - photosynthesis. Plants use the energy of sunlight to split water molecules, consuming carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to make sugars. The oxygen from H2O is expelled as an exhaust. We animals depend on plants to maintain oxygen in the atmosphere so we can breathe. We also depend on the sugar molecules that plants make using sunlight as energy. Plants totally changed the atmosphere on earth. Before plants, there was only about 10% oxygen in the atmosphere compared with 21% now. Carbon dioxide made up 5% of the atmosphere, compared with 0.05% now. Plants totally changed the atmosphere from toxic to animals to friendly and sustaining. So give a plant a good hug or two today, for plants sustain us, and the air on our planet.
Thanks little green plants for your photosysnthesis, Oxygen we need

Awesome John :) did you know you'd have to hug a tree for a month or more for it to know it was being hugged? Doesn't stop me from trying to communicate... self professed leafaphile; oh those tender spring leaves! Thanks for this important write. xomo
