Notes About The Poem

Howl of Despair

howl of despair
iron gate swinging shut
	slowly
’til but a crevice remains.
life obscured
mourning that
			unlived.

sorrow unheard
forgiveness unspoken
darkness enshrouding
death without dying
howl unvoiced
			alone.
