How Would You Ever Know
For a long time
I did not want anyone to see me
The real me
Hiding behind an exterior
That only you know that it is
Don’t know whether it was hurt
Or some other reasons
That I had put me - closed in - in a shell
But you know God
You led me out
In a timely manner in your time
You made me want others to touch me
To know me
To be a part of me
Your compassion is insurmountable
Your love is unconquerable
Boundless, infinite, and has no strings
You see what I did not see
You know what I did not know
That I had done that somehow
Thank you for drawing me out
To the world –your world
As you see them
And now I see
Thank you for your timely embrace
That forever touches one’s soul
How would you ever know?
