How Will I Leave This World

How will I leave this world
Will I go out as I have come in
Kicking and screaming
Born of sin?

Or will I simply close my eyes
After saying some tearful goodbyes
To all of those I love and cherish
How will I leave this world?

And will I be ready
Ready to leave this world
Ready to no longer see each day anew
Or the moon's haunting shadows.

Will I have done all the things
I've set out to do
Loved all the people
That I've wanted to.

Danced all my dances
Sangs all my songs
Written all the words
That I've wanted to.

I highly doubt it.
I highly doubt
That I'll be ready
To leave this world.
