How We Are-How He Is

We fall on our knees,
And make our pleas,
We get what we think we need,
Then leave Him be.

But when He calls us to be free,
We kick and we scream,
We think that we know,
that there are no answers to show,
And yet He shows,
We have more ways to grow.
We forget where we get life,
Consumed in our strife,
We forget who was there,
When our lives were spared.

That just goes to show,
How much he cares.

This is a positively beautiful poem Savannah! How we cry out when things go wrong, and sooner forget when everything is right in our lives. Very well written!
