How to write a poem.
"Oh,no"! you think
She is going to tell us about all this rhyming nonsense
No one cares about this
Who cares if it's your feelings put down forever?
Who cares what ex wronged you?
Or how your father was a raging alcoholic.
It doesn't matter, right?
WRONG! You couldn't be more wrong.
Because that is not how you write a poem.
It's not just about your feelings
But about your heart.
It not about your struggles or hardships
It's about your triumphs and how you conquer them.
Poetry is an expression
A way to tell people how you think
Poetry spreads inspiration
It instills confidence in though who might not have it
It gives comfort to those who have no support
It gives security to those who have no one to turn to
Poetry is therapeutic
Poetry is healing
Poetry is humorous
Good for a laugh when you need it
A pick-me-up when you're feeling down.
Poetry is a lifestyle.
A way to communicate to the world in a very intimate way
Poetry is
Funny
Sexy
Sensual
Depressing
Awe-Inspiring
Inspirational
Amazing
And when you pour out your soul?
That is how you write a poem!
