How Simple Thou Art and Plain!

Oh! I feel what a pain!
In my poor heart and brain!
The doctors treat and treat,
But it’s all of no gain.
Only the honey of thy lips
Can stop my sad eyes rain!
And only thy warm embrace
Can relieve my heart’s pain!
When thy hair waves, it looks
As if it were going to rain!
N’ I feel my this poor heart
Tightly shackled in thy love’s chain!
Before me, there are highways,
But my destination is thy lane.
My tears, my cries, my shrieks,
Oh! All go just in vain!
Thou’st stolen my heart, yet unaware!
How simple thou art and plain!

There is something almost Bob Marley about this poem, love without vanity, its jewel is reality. Good write, my friend. I enjoy work.
