How Rudolph Lost His Job
Eight tiny reindeer jockeyed for the position
To guide Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve,
The arrival of Rudolph was an imposition
So, they told him to skedaddle away.
Seems Rudolph assumed the job was his
Because he’d guided Santa one foggy night
The others said, “Neigh, go take a whiz!”
Since it was clear, there was no fog in sight.
Santa agreed there was no need for a light
So Rudolph went back to his cozy, warm stall,
As Dasher took the lead without another word
And Rudolph wished a Merry Christmas to all.
