How Precious Life Is

HOW PRECIOUS LIFE IS From first cry to final breath Life is a great commodity A gift of God from Heaven above Not to be treated shoddily Yet there are some who go astray And make a travesty of their life Unpaid bills causing great dismay Bitterness and strife There is a way one can overcome The hardships they create Dont' give up and become a bum Look up before it's too late Look up and take the Master's hand He's reaching out to you Get up on your feet and stand That's all you have to do Then the precious life that you desire Will be given unto you Saving you from a lake of fire Christ's Blood was shed for you Yes, life is precious when we give in To the desires that kept us bound 'Til we learned that Christ saves us from sin And His saving grace is found 9 October 2018 For the contest sponsored by Line Gauthier

Another splendid sermon from your very prolific and talented quill, Curt. By the way - hunker down - looks like another big one heading your way! Bob

Thanks, Bob, for the great and encouraging comment and for the good advice regarding the storm. I'm hunkered down like the Georgia Bulldogs. Otherwise, I'd have to do like the Atlanta Falcons --- back up and punt! lol

Another great verse Curtis, he does offer a beacon of hope, sad that today many are blind to it. Tom.

I certainly agree with that, Tom! Unless we start looking at Him for who He is, the world is gonna crash. Thanks for your comments and support.

Thank you, Daniel. I often refer to my poems as a 'silent witness' to Christ and His love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness. My prayer is that those who are lost will see the light and accept Him as Lord and Savior. Thank you for your kindness and your invaluable friendship.
