How Much You Meant To Me

Love has never left me, it never will,
When prayers are left unanswered, my heart stands still,
God has his reasons, he holds my fate,
The tears I've cried for you were never a mistake,
Never a lost cause, I will never forget,
I will always remember the love instead,
Broken promises, shattered dreams,
It may not be what it seems,
But one thing I know that will always stand to be true,
Is all the love I had for you,
And if I go through this life, and I must wait,
I will see you again at heavens gates,
The tears will subside and you will see,
In my heart how much you meant to me.
