How John Brown Got To Heaven

When ole John Brown died
He appeared at the pearly gates
Just before his meeting with
Saint Peter, he noticed that he
Was still dressed in his old tweed
Jacket, boots, and his big white
Beard wasn't shaven

As Saint Peter came outside
John couldn't look the Saint in the eyes
But Peter Said, "Have no fear my son
For as you cross through these gates
You will appear as you were when you
Were twenty-three, and you shall stay
That way for eternity".
