How I Met My Husband

Out for a night of fun
Just the girls and I
The evening'd just begun
When they pointed out this guy

"I'm going for him" one blurted out
and introductions did occur
But there wasn't any doubt
He wasn't into her

She tried to gain his interest
To show her interest too
She really tried her best
A relationship to pursue

I had tried to be there
to lend a helping hand
But I couldn't break his stare
now this I hadn't planned

Soon he stood beside me
We just seemed to click
this girl she was not happy
That her he did not pick

The time was growing near
We had to say goodbye
but it was quite clear
again I'd see this guy

This guy and I, we dated
Together we had fun
This, that girl, she hated
She wanted to be the one

I didn't think much of it
Didn't expect it to go far
Even though we fit
I met him at a bar

But to my delight
love between us spread
End she thought we might
But marry we did instead
