How I Love To Travel

Daniexelle M. Lingofelter

Love is hard to find, I know, and
Love from afar is much harder.
To love a man I've never seen
In a country across the world...
I know it seems impossible
And chances of success are slim,
But I'm choosing to take that chance.

The reason, you see, is that
I am an example of
Someone who has succeeded
Despite slim chances life gave.
I choose to follow these paths
Because I am not afraid
My heart will break or I'll fail.

I follow these paths less
Because I relish the
Challange and risk of them.
There's always much to learn,
And as I like to learn,
I choose to travel them.

I grew up in a
House that should have been
The place I called home.
A place of despair
And anger, it was.

Even so, I
I am a healer.
A person who
Loves and is kind.

I travel
Roads that are
Abandoned

For him.
My lover,

Suki.

What a wonderful day to be reading poetry of others. I am so happy your poetry is among those I am reading this morning Daniexelle. I wish you as I wish all my fellow poets the best in your writing endeavors whatever they may be. It is a pleasure to me to read my fellow poets poetry. Love, Carol
