How I Feel Nightly

How I feel nightly

I'm only around
So everyone can feel good
About their self
As I slowly die
In my shell.

Tears dance
Down my cheeks every night
As scars appear by dawn.

Lost in this world
Walking down
The sidewalk
Hoping a hand would give me a push
Into the middle of traffic.

Oh, wouldn't everyone
Be happy at the sight of my blood
Or the sounds of my bones cracking
One by one
As I edge towards the light
In front of me.

What's the only thing
Keeping me here?
Why, I can't even tell you
Why I spend my days
In depression
Hoping for a new beginning.
