How I Am ::: Stefanile Triadic Sonnet

Like rest, I too wanted to be happy that sincere heartfelt wish over years grew But, he has deserted, moved on gladly. I was confident to be able to present myself as an ever smiling young woman brimming with joy, and shining too, enjoying abundant happiness; hidden nicely, none knows what gets into my mind; how I mask deep anguish anew; They witness my contentment, wittiness. My smiling through eyes is completely fake. Never thought I'd meet him in hall; Oh! Lord as he asked, 'how I'm', couldn't hold tears, just shake my head tried to move; I wept, hope none heard. ~X~X~X~

This poem really captures a universal truth of how people feel like they have to hold things together in the face of everyone else's contentment and stature. I thought how you ended this poem with the hope that "none heard" was brilliant and for so many people, it's true! Powerful piece.
