How Gray
Your heart
is no longer pink and plump
bearing frailty
like before
it's grown thick and weathered
contemplating mine, perhaps (how gray)
or maybe my fears
have all nuzzled themselves
in the navel of your benevolence
for far too long now
I wouldn't know
words have never hummed
so softly
P.S. I'm so sorry
if my love made you old
and made me foolish
