How enthusiastic would you be
If you agreed to take a student teacher
And she immediately said she never wants to teach
She wants to be a school counselor?

She tells everyone she never wants to teach, and yet, that is what she is supposed to be doing. The supervising teacher has not encouraged her to take over - not sure if it is because she lacks the motivation or what. She was supposed to take over the class last week. I wonder what her university advisor will say when she visits?

Oh my! Well, actually, I think I'd have a heart-to-heart talk with her/him. I think I'd try to figure out what was going on in his/her head! A counselor without some teaching experience???? I don't know.

This is the funny part. She told me she has been seeing a counselor since she was four. I rarely hear of this.
