How Does a Soul Enter Heaven

How Does a Soul Enter Heaven? How does a soul enter Heaven? Suddenly. Often quietly. Whole and Complete. Stepping through the flimsy membrane of time On scented leaves of healing for the nations Born from earth’s womb into once blinding glory Lead along in a mysterious path of crossroads Detours and mystical coincidence A struggling bud bursting into full bloom Beholding for the first time the Anointed face No longer veiled in holy incense from eye bound eyes. How does the soul enter Eternity? Knowing its need for God in finality’s answer All deliriums answered In a charismatic kiss Prodigal rags of empty pits, Valleys of compassion left homeless And piercing arrows of shattered words Fall away No Eden’s shame for the unclothed soul Shining alabaster in luminescent pearls. How does a soul enter Paradise? Turmoil – forgotten; Temptation – overcome; Rejection – forgiven; Psalms of sweet arias sing reveries Of prayers prayed, cloaks shared – A simple cup of water – The way made straight in a pledged troth The bridegroom’s betrothal consummated Eternal sigh beneath trees by the crystal fountain In the open arms of pure grace. How does a soul enter Heaven? To words of welcome – good and faithful servant. 2-4-23

Wow, I love tthis. Sorta reminiscent of Dantes inferno, with the passage of the soul into this ethereal plane, its really cool what you've written!

Hi John! So nice to meet you. Welcome to the soup! Thank you so much! It is quite an honor to be compared with Milton. Spent a quarter in college studying The Inferno. I really enjoyed thinking about this theme and creating this poem. I am so glad you liked it. All the best. Sending you blessings!

Thank you so much for your gorgeous message Lasaad! Isn't wonderful that we have the same goal - to enter "the magnificent heaven" where we can eternally write perfect poems of praise to our Creator! Beautiful poetic imagery that echoes the eternal promises of Scripture. I most loved "Stepping through the flimsy membrane of time" and "Turmoil – forgotten; Temptation – overcome; Rejection – forgiven". Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. An eternal life of wrongs made right and being in the presence of the Almighty Creator is certainly worthy of our earthly faith. Thank you for writing and sharing these encouraging lines Sam, going in my favs ~ R&R bro

Dear R&R Bro, I had many moments of sheer delight writing this poem. What a wonderful opportunity to meditate on Heaven and our entrance to it. Many of my thoughts came from a retreat I offered based on Revelation. A church wanted a forty five minute retreat on Revelation!!! Yikes! I chose the twenty-third chapter with the river of life and the trees with leaves of healing for the nations. It has become a roadmap for me - a picture to hold close. I am so honored by your fav dear friend. It means so much to me. Thank you for the blessings of your grace-filled feedback. Sending you bunches of blessings!!

Thank you so much for your lovely note of congratulations. This original contest, which I missed because I caught so caught up in the theme, brought out so many amazing poems. I was delighted to have a second chance to bring it to the soup! What a wonderful opportunity to think on entering Heaven to the words "good and faithful friend!" Sending you joyful blessings and continued prayers!

Sam this was a pleasure to read. Your words and creativeness shine in this truth. I long to hear those words and pray that I can reach God's glorious place of Heaven. I feel for the lost that have no clue or desire in this world. God help us all and lead us to his truth and promise. Thank you for sharing Sam.

Hi Michael! Please excuse my delay in answering your lovely message. I am behind once again! Can't seem to catch up! When writing this poem I kept thinking about the view of Heaven in the 23rd chapter of Revelation with river of life and the trees with leaves of healing for the nations and, like you, longing to hear "good and faithful servant." I pray for those who "have no clue" or reject the message of hope. Thank you for sitting a few minutes with me as we try to absorb the unabsorbable! Blessings of peace and joy to you my friend!!
