How Do You Feel

Do you still hurt and cry
become overwhelmed by a sigh
Are you pining for the past
perhaps life’s going too fast

Want to get swept off your feet
feel your heart skip a beat
Fall in love once more
open another painful door

Do you miss being single
want to meet friends, and mingle
Would you like to be with child
or a teenager going wild

Is death occupying your mind
maybe your lost, or confined
Do you spend all day in bed
are there voices in your head

Tell me please! let’s work it out
I can exorcise your doubt
Just then!! the mirror replies
it’s best, we break off all ties

I'm pretty sure I'm pretty much numb to all that, but the door remains open for love (with my guy of course). I needed a break from power thinking monokus! Excelled in this piece, David.

I understand Anaya, I go through different phases of poetry forms, I think I’m all monokued out at the moment, delighted you liked this one it was always going to turn inwards at the end, cheers David

My feelings are very similar to 1960's song with the following words: "I'm not scared of dying and I don't really care if it's peace you find in dying, then let dying time be near" good luck in the contest!

Thanks Robert, I think this one is all about life perspective and how it changes as we age, I know mine certainly has, I googled them lyrics, Blood, sweat, and tears, sounds like they may have been influenced by the war in Vietnam, cheers David

David, another LOL from the very unexpected twist at the end! Very delightful. Mirror, mirror on the wall…..who’s the wittiest one of all? Hugs from enjoyment, sally

Heya Sally this one was always going to turn on me, I really am a hopeless case of not taking myself too seriously, but I’m honestly delighted you’re in good form, cheers David

Love your take on the contest theme David, so many questions we often ask ourselves. I try and look forward rather than reflecting what with hindsight I should have done. Tom

Thanks Tom, Perhaps rather than trying to solve other peoples problems, we should focus on our own shortcomings instead, just adds a different dynamic to this contest, cheers David Reply
