How Did We Get Here
How did we get here
this point of no return and tears,
did you see it at the onset of love
when it was immeasurably intense
and every heartbeat spent,
a beat for you and no one else?
How did we get here
this endless strain of angry remarks
wishing I never loved you from the very start?
Just yesterday, you loved me
and here we are today, separating,
you regretting the time lost by your heart
to search for other possible stars,
so I guess, you go your way and I, mine
just one more question before we go
how did we get here?
