How Could You

how could you say you love me
and crush my heart so bad
why would you treat me so
and make me feel so sad
i don't deserve what you give
i've given you my body and soul
but yet you walk all over me
and my heart has to pay the toll
i surrendered to you fully
you thought i'd forever be around
but now i'm saving my mending heart
for the new love that i've found
