:how Can I Tell Her It's Over

How Can I Tell Her It’s Over

How can I tell her it’s over
How can I tell her we’re through
How can I tell her the love is gone
And that now I’ve found someone new
I don’t want to see the hurt in her eyes
I don’t want to cause her more pain
But we’ve lost the spark we once had
And I don’t know how to explain

We’re just not the same two people
We were children when we met
With stars in our eyes we were married
And those years I’ll never regret
But Life has a way of intruding
And the years rolled by in a blur
The children now had their own lives
She thought life was over for her

Refrain:
How can I tell her it’s over
How can I tell her we’re through
How can I tell her the love is gone
And that now I’ve found someone new

How do I erase the memories
Of the life that I once led
I thought we’d grow old together
But I’ve found someone else instead
I’ve found a new love to cherish
Who makes me happy again
There’s just no use pretending
This life I just can’t maintain

Refrain:
How can I tell her it’s over
How can I tell her we’re through
How can I tell her the love is gone
And that now I’ve found someone new

How do I not break her heart
When I tell her I’ve found someone new
