How Can I Say

I’m dying, I’m dying,
the old man was lying.
He said I’d live, but I didn’t give
him enough time to prove it.
   To be civilized to realize
how short my life really is.
I gave it a chance, tried to dance,
   made some time and music.
But I lost it all, lost it all,
didn’t get a good hold on it.
What do I do? Where do I go?
Am I to see? Are you to show?
How can I say I’m sorry?

I do love you and I love life,
but now it’s time to end it all.
Say good bye, say so long,
I do hope you’ve had a ball.
Yes, now it’s time to say goodnite.
   it’s getting late,
   time to go,
I do hope you’ve enjoyed the show.
Right this way, I’ll show you how
to go on out and end it now.
Just say you’ll try to live your live,
while I slowly, simply, die.
