How Can I Rest

How can I rest
It’s now well past one
And the baby seems
So far from done

Crying the night away

I wish I could just
Get some well earned rest
Please shut up
Oh god what a test

Crying the night away

If I live till you are eighty
I’ll always recall
When you were a baby
Still cute and quite small
And…
Crying my nights away

My son was an absolute joy and we never had the crying during the night.I can only sympathise with other parents that have to put up with it night after night. Well written I really enjoyed reading this. Jan x
