How Am I

How am I supposed to speak my mind but at the same time be expected to bite my tongue & keep my thoughts to myself
How am I supposed to express that I'm blessed when in reality I'm a mess, I confess I am my own worse enemy you wouldn't understand half the battles he's sent to me, more times than none it was battles that I fought with myself
How am I smart with remarks, test scores up the charts, oh so sharp but still not polished to finish
How am I a child of God who is holy but I'm not fully & he who knows me knows low key I'm intrigued by the barks from the dark where souls go to be demolished & diminished
How am I on top of my grind, not throwing no shade but they know I'm unstoppable when facing obstacles, I'm the force leading my pack
How am I praised by most but to others nothing more than a target for them to target before they raise a toast after I'm overthrown & betrayed by my own sitting there helpless watching as they stab me in my back
How am I still the victor in defeat when I was rattled & lost battle after battle, still I laced up my saddle focused on the next place I would travel so while you counted me out & was closing the door you never realized that I rose from the floor
How am I a shifter of beliefs or a gifter of peace caught up in the rift of the beast still sore but now there's suddenly a shift in the score, go ahead & run up I'm now one up, you picked the battle but still It was me a man gifted who had his hand lifted as a true warrior chosen for war.
