To my nightly companion,
Does my eye shine as brightly as yours?
Do my scars and scabs mystify as yours?
Does my smile light up the sky as yours?
Can I then shepherd the stars?
To the flare in my sky,
Does my fire burn as brightly as yours?
Does my light hide away my flaws as yours?
Does my touch warm as kindly as yours?
Can I then banish the night?
To my starlit friends,
Does my touch rest as gently as yours?
Does my soul quiver as joyously as yours?
Does my heart beat along with yours?
Can I then remain everlasting?
