Listen to poem:

Housecleaning and Other Guilt Trips

little did we know
there’s no such thing as perfection
the more we’d grasp for it
the further it got away

perfection in one area
meant neglect elsewhere
why did nobody tell us
life is all about balance

just trying to give our best
is all we can do
never achieving illusive perfection
but balancing what’s most important

Hello Lin, I agree there is no such thing as perfection. I am not perfect. I accept myself for the way I am. No one is perfect in this world. Hugs

If only we could all be so accepting of ourselves ~ well done, Darlene.
