House Is On Fire

Oh lord what can I do, what can I take.
Now that I have unwanted heat, fear and faith.
Shelter is on fire ,time is not there to take,as much as I want to.
Is this your wish ,to bless me
A goodbye from my attachments.
Or a chance to make new ones.
Whatever it is ,O dear lord, let me take seven things.
Not more ,not less, seven which matters to me.
Let me take that photo,of my little self
To not forget ,how I became a giant from an elf.
Let me take an extra cloth,to keep me warm and covered.
A good blanket and a good book, sounds like a luxury ,but O lord allow me .
A bread will be good as well,so will be a bottle full of water.
Last but not least,my shoes need to go where I go,so please let me.

So many moments and emotions tangle around your words. Reflecting on what's important, truly is the best way to handle a situation like this. You have the right attitude. ~ Brandy
