House

A house no more Save on the distant shore Of my memory Cracked window, Drafty, makes me daffy "Peeve Room" joys, Music through the night Friends and lovers, Made me warm Till morning's light Haunting memories Of the bumper-car ride of life, Friends and lovers gone, And too many an ex-wife, I can still see out That cracked window, That is no more, Those rooms will die with me, That home that I did adore.
