Hourglass

Hourglass
By MEH3

As time passes
we try to find our own way
Not understanding life challenges
but not willing to turn astray

We notice our feet moving
However, it feels like we are running in place
Going nowhere fast
trying to chase His Presence
at a quick and fast pace

Understanding Faith is the path worth taking
Getting tested along the way
As the sand continues to pass
through the hourglass
each and every day

But do not look towards tomorrow
Enjoy and embrace each moment today
While being determined to finish this race

Do not try speeding up your pace
instead stay steady along the way
Do not worry about the hourglass
Thinking time is going to waste

But is it really going to waste?!?!
Just because we are moving at a snail's pace
At times moving too fast could make us lose our place
Only to get fatigued, along the way

At times we need to be still
in order to seek His face
Not worrying about the time it may take
But, realizing the prize you will get once you finish this race

So, as the sand pass through the hourglass
extend your hands and pray
that He will allow you to walk in His Presence
and provide you with His grace!
