Hourglass
Hope greets faith with cheer as love transcends grace;
Offer to just be present in life's feast;
Urge springs a smile here on each lively face;
Roar with sure beauty in fancy or beast.
Glimpse passing time as space shows up now;
Live with bold passion the mission you set;
Applaud your own rhymes as reason allows;
Succeed with action that risks the odd bet.
Sense time and tide hurl a certain charade;
Sing when gloomy skies bring unease and pain;
Trust your crazy swirl in unsure crusade;
You make your own highs when sighs fling complaint.
Look deep and you'll see that life soldiers on;
Expect now truly to live yet beyond.
