Hour-Glass

The sun is shining dawn
And the night is rolling on.
The waves creep up to shore
As you hold me close once more.
The shimmering, golden hours we shared
Will remain forever in the fire's glare.
With rainbow dreams
And the promise of tomorrow.
The hour-glass carries on in sorrow.
Until at last it is empty now
Time slowly fades away.
Till dawn breaks through
And life starts over
With the twilight of a brand new day.

This poem rings with prettiness and optimism.
