Hotel Without Breakfast

# Hotel without breakfast Tree lined country road The day is about to erode Hotel sign flashed past Somewhere to stay at last Sunset shining through the trees dreaming of hotel beds Looking forward to stretching my legs Half a mile I think it said I hope they have a lovely bed Here we are Looking good so far I hope they have a bar Have you a room for the night Double bed right Overnight slept so well Despite the place looking like hell Ghosts they stay here for fun I’m sure I saw one Hungry after no dinner Full English would be a winner Finding dinning room Empty, no sign of anyone feeling a sense of gloom Off to reception no one there This is a laugh do they care Here comes someone through the door What times breakfast is what I’m here for Sorry it’s bed only my dear I thought you knew. What a disappointment through and through. Hotel without breakfast This will be our last

Your poem made me smile John, as this happened to us on the continent, to be honest I'd be happy just to have a place to lay my head and find somewhere else for breakfast:-) hugs Jan xx
