Hot In the City

Dressed in hot pinks and orange dress you greet me
Your silken skirt soft and smooth carefully adorn
You stretch your delicate legs towards the suns rays
Delicate your perfume delights
I’ve been admiring you for some time
And now as you blush radiantly as nature intended
I understand why so many are drawn to you
Especially when I see your jewelled form freshly sprinkled
Thirsty you welcome every drop of water you can get
You soak it all up and through the days get stronger
Until you are either picked by someone special
or left alone solitary
to display your beauty regardless

Oh, you make summer sound so attractive, Anna-Marie! I fear I've languished on the vine too long and solitude is inescapable. An erotic, enticing poem! Love, Carolyn (I'm not online very often, but happy to see you here again!)

Anne-Marie.. Back from a party and wide awake. Need me a few funny, mysterious, interesting, or mellow writes to settle me into a restful state. So glad I came across your poem tonight.. just what I needed!
