Hot Haikus

HOT HAIKUS

so hot!
a satanic breeze rustling
shadows sweat drip

so hot!
sidewalk sizzles
cracked egg fried mid-air

so hot!
birds won’t sing
earthworms gloat

I guess you have the heat where you are too. We have been scorched for over a week, today some relief. And yes, the earthworms are not feeding the robins to my great concern. Great depiction ofheat Dave. P S "Rip each other apart at the seams" is our Danny boy's line! :)

oh I do love a haiku! I particularly like 'cracked egg fried mid-air' makes me feel hot even in rain-soaked and grey Nottinghamshire!
