Hot Flashes

Gathering force, speed, anger, malevolence of intent, from barren, rocky, cracked and screaming caverns they creep in howling secrecy. Slow darkening an unseen horizon, billowing shapes, devoid of purpose, roiling above the unsuspecting, unable to control the unseen future. Feelings, hatched and harbored hatreds, searing our vision of the world.

reaching through times tensioned fog
clinging to the past
