I had a dream of you last night A brilliant moon, silver light On a pink sand beach in Hamilton Or maybe it was the Caribbean Wherever it was, it was somewhere warm The surf in true sonata form Flowed then stopped then ebbed again We walked until I knew not when And then right there in front of me Were two guitars of filigree We sat and played our newfound prize Until the sun began to rise We stood to greet the coming dawn Then all at once the dream was gone
