Hospital Call

Hospital call

I rang you from hospital

You had not arrived this morning

And I left messages, many messages

On our home phone

And your own phone

The recorded messages chilled me

I wanted to speak with you

And then you rang

My heart leapt

You were fine

It was my worrywarting

That got me going

It is your love

That keeps me going

Thanks, thanks and thanks

For all

For my life, my sanity

Your love keeps me free
