Horned Owl

I glide through the night on silent wings Watching, waiting, for moving things To swoop and grab and eat my fill Before the sun rises over the hill Nesting in branches high in the air I watch as you approach and stare “who?” says you, “who” says me As I take off almost silently To find a bit more private trap Where I can get my morning nap The great horned owl is my name But you all ask me just the same ...............“who” 7/27/20

Joseph, great personification and descriptive poem . I so often see one whooing around perched on roof tops he or she is far from being small, so I quickly gather my dog and go back inside. Congratulations on your win. Hugs Eve
